Meet the Midwives Behind the Mic

Delivered was born out of a shared passion for midwifery, maternity care, and the deep belief that families deserve more—more knowledge, more options, and more support as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Though we each came to midwifery from different backgrounds, our paths crossed in a way that felt both intentional and inevitable.

I’m Sherry Hopkins, the owner of Well-Rounded Momma, a community resource center that has supported birthing families in Las Vegas since 2006. My work as a midwife has always been deeply intertwined with advocacy, holistic healing, and building a strong, connected birth community. Through my personal practice, Shy to Shine, I offer not only midwifery care but also sound healing, energy work, and other modalities designed to support the full spectrum of well-being for parents.

Jazmyne Turner began her midwifery journey as a student of mine and has since stepped into her role as a primary midwife and business owner, Birth Mother Midwifery. Watching her grow into her calling has been an incredible experience, and her fresh perspective and deep commitment to serving families make her an essential part of this collaboration.

Then there’s Erica Delmore, a seasoned midwife and the owner of Homebirth Services of Southern Nevada. Erica has long been an advocate for midwifery care, bringing her unique experience and wisdom to families who seek compassionate, individualized birth support. Though she sometimes rents space from Well-Rounded Momma, she runs her own independent practice, making her a strong voice for the autonomy of midwives in the broader birth landscape.

Why We Created This Podcast

Despite our different paths, the three of us came together with a shared mission: to uplift, educate, and challenge the way maternity care is provided—locally, nationally, and even internationally. We recognize that midwifery isn’t just about catching babies; it’s about advocating for systemic change, supporting families through their entire reproductive journeys, and reclaiming birth as a deeply personal, physiological, and sacred experience.

We also understand that the modern maternity care system is filled with contradictions, biases, and gaps in knowledge. That’s why Delivered isn’t just another birth podcast—it’s a real, raw, and radically honest conversation about what’s working, what’s failing, and what midwives like us can do to help close those gaps.

What Listeners Can Expect

Each episode, we’ll tackle key issues in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care—whether it’s debunking common myths, exploring holistic approaches to prenatal health, or addressing the racial disparities that continue to impact Black and Brown birthing people. We’ll share our personal experiences, bring in expert voices, and most importantly, amplify the voices of the families we serve.

At the end of the day, this podcast is about empowerment—for parents, birth workers, and anyone passionate about changing the landscape of maternity care. We’re here to have the hard conversations, share the magic of midwifery, and remind people that birth is not a medical event—it’s a rite of passage.
