Stacey Gamble 702-569-6223 ~ I’ve had an intense desire to play an integral part of the birthing experience since I was a little girl. I became pregnant in 2008. Just like you are doing right now I began to search for options to make my birth experience “my own”. As a result of having an educated midwife, attentive doula and involved husband I experienced an amazing and awe-inspiring home birth. My desire now is to enlighten women to the many resources and options available to them. Whether you ultimately choose a hospital or home birth, I will guide and inspire you in creating a birth plan that is perfect for you and your baby. I will offer warm encouragement, unbiased direction and calming reassurance during the exciting but sometimes worrisome weeks of pregnancy. I will lend my gentle touch, soothing words and diligent guidance during the hours of labor. I will assist with early postpartum needs so that you may transition into the bonding process as soon as possible with your new family. My goal is to lend a helping hand in your birth experience and ensure that it will always have a special place in your heart.
Jenny Fox Ishihara 702-858-0375 ~ Birth is a profound transformation for a woman, her baby, and those closest to them. Preparing to give birth carries with it an array of emotions and experiences all of which deserve opportunities for open communication and reflection. I am committed wholeheartedly to providing you and your family with unconditional support as you make the choices that are best for you and your baby. While I offer continuous informational, physical and emotional support for your pregnancy, labor and early postpartum period, I am also sensitive to the sometimes fluctuating need for privacy. My experiences giving birth to my children and making the transition to parenthood enrich my understanding of ways that I may be of service to you. Whether you choose to give birth at home or at the hospital, I remain focused and flexible in order to provide you and your family with calm encouragement.
Erica Delmore 702-324-3206 ~ Becoming a Labor Doula has been a life altering experience for me. Witnessing and being part of the process of labor and deliver is amazing. It’s an awesome journey, one that will forever change a woman and her perspective on life. As a doula it is my primary goal, focus and intent for the mother (and partner) to have a joyous and fulfilling experience. I am there to support in all ways, to educate and to empower. By using different techniques, positions, and massage I can help focus the laboring mom and partner to work together to bring their baby into the world. The memory of the birth of your children is a happy one, and, as a doula it is my goal to ensure this happens.
Whitney Farnsworth 702-372-5448 ~ As a doula I desire to give woman-to-woman support for the birthing mother and to complement the support provided by her partner. As a mother to four children I can attest that every birth experience is unique and transformative. As your doula I can assist you along your unique journey by helping you articulate preferences in a birth plan. I will provide information and tools to increase your confidence in your body’s innate abilities. I will accompany you with comfort measures and encouraging words. I will listen and support you as your story unfolds. Medical evidence supports the presence of a doula in dramatically reducing the need for medical interventions. You deserve a doula! I would be honored to be part of your birthing team. Together we can create an empowering experience regardless of outcome.
Leslie Sullivan ~ I am the mother to three amazing children, all born naturally. After the birth of my third child at home, I realized that the art of natural childbirth was something that I was deeply passionate about. I decided that I wanted to spread the knowledge and empowerment that I received from my midwives by teaching and supporting other women to make positive choices and help them to have a similar experience to what I had in childbirth. After being present for one of my first student’s birth, I realized that being a doula was something that I wanted to persue. As your doula, I will provide you with knowledge and support you in whatever decision you make in labor. I will listen to you and be present for you. I will provide comfort to you through massage, position changes and relaxation methods. Labor and birth should be a positive experience and one that you will remember and hold dear to your heart forever. As your doula, my goal is to support, empower and guide you so that we can accomplish all of these things together.
Tiffanie Gonzales 702-448-9428 ~ Monitrice ~ I became a doula because I wanted other women to know what a great experience it could be for them. I love mothering women during that time. I want to empower women to know that they have choices during their labor. I will help with birth plans whether it is home births or hospital. I will offer support in whatever setting. I offer kind words, gentle touch, comfort measures, massage, music, photography (if I am not too busy with a mom), counter pressure, and anything that a mom needs.
Brittany Hollister 702-274-3175 ~ When I became pregnant with my daughter, I thought I knew everything and I had it all figured out. I soon became aware that what I “knew” pregnancy and birth to be was far different than what pregnancy and birth actually could be like. Through my own journey I came to discover that the knowledge I held about birth wasn’t exactly new, or profound even, and that women all over the world were having far different births than most American’s experience. And through that discovery, I realized that what I really want to do is bring the power of birth, however she may choose it, back into a woman’s hands through providing knowledge and unconditional support. Women have such enormous strength and my goal as a doula is to complement that strength during pregnancy, labor, and the early postpartum period by providing a gentle touch, calming words, and supportive guidance.
