Why should you choose a WRM Certified Doula?
WRM Doulas has been certifying birth doulas for years. Our certification process ensures that our doulas have met the highest standards of the doula profession. Our certified doulas are kept up-to-date by attending continuing education and through recertification every three years. Many women train to become a doula and may practice without being certified. Doulas that choose to be certified demonstrate a commitment to their profession and strive to achieve the gold standard in doula care.
The WRM Doulas Certification Committee is composed of doulas who are actively working in the local birthing community. They assure each doula applying for certification has attended the highest quality training, and that she practices within the scope of practice and code of ethics of the WRM Certified Doula. The doula certified by WRM Doulas will have demonstrated personal integrity, commitment to the profession, and that she has achieved a level of experience with good evaluations from her clients and their caregivers by completing the Certification Process.
When you choose a doula certified by WRM Doulas, you know that you are getting the best trained, ethical, professional, quality doula available. All the doulas listed on the following pages are certified by WRM Doulas, and maintain their certification by participating in continuing education and on-going evaluations.

During my pregnancy I was so blessed to feel loved and nurtured by a supportive husband, midwife and birth doula. I experienced an incredible homebirth, which has been life - changing for me. I felt as if I were reborn the day I delivered my son. After a few weeks home my husband had returned to work and friends and family had stopped visiting. I suddenly felt very alone. The simplest tasks seemed daunting. I wish I would have had the support I needed. I immediately felt the urge to support, help and encourage new moms ease into their new role of motherhood.
The first few months with your little one should be all about you and your baby. Let me help you with those daunting tasks, such as laundry, light household chores, cooking, errands or cuddling your little one so you are able to get the rest you so need and deserve.
Marcie Webb ~
Marcie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice as a doula. Inspired by the births of her granddaughters not being the kind of birthing experience she thought her daughters deserved, she became a doula to help give her family the best birth experience possible.
Friends and others soon followed and she is thrilled to be a part of many birth experiences both hospital and home births. Being an advocate for mothers, fathers and new little ones during the birthing experience is one of her most favorite things and among her most cherished life experiences.

Birth is a Rite of Passage that in the end not only births a new baby, but births new parents as well. I beleive in the sanctity of the process and believe that every woman through research and introspection can have and erserves an empowering birth. As an educator, my role is to journey with you and help you discover tools that you already have and help you build upon those skills. As a Birth doula, my role is to support your choices regarding your pregnancy and birth plan. Your birth is all about you and your families needs.

The birth of a new child is an incredible journey. It also is a journey that includes many hills and valleys. Being a mother of three children, including a baby, “tween”, and teenager, I understand how overwhelming motherhood can be sometimes. I have experienced the births of my own children, two in the hospital, and one home birth. All of them were unique and special in their own way. I have been a stay-at-home mother for 15 years and am currently homeschooling my two oldest children. After the birth of my second daughter, I realized how much I'd like to be able to help mothers during the postpartum period. I draw from my own experiences of motherhood and would be honored to share that with mothers who need nurturing during this phase of motherhood.

I fell in love with the whole process of birth after my third son was born at home. What a blessing women are given to travel this empowering journey. Nothing in life compares to birth. There is no challenge with a reward so great. I know birth is normal, natural and safe. As your doula I will help empower, support, nurture and bring comfort through many resources and skills. I am the mother to six children born both in hospital, home and water.

I’ve had an intense desire to play an integral part of the birthing experience since I was a little girl. I became pregnant in 2008. Just like you are doing right now I began to search for options to make my birth experience “my own”. As a result of having an educated midwife, attentive doula and involved husband I experienced an amazing and awe-inspiring home birth. My desire now is to enlighten women to the many resources and options available to them. Whether you ultimately choose a hospital or home birth, I will guide and inspire you in creating a birth plan that is perfect for you and your baby. I will offer warm encouragement, unbiased direction and calming reassurance during the exciting but sometimes worrisome weeks of pregnancy. I will lend my gentle touch, soothing words and diligent guidance during the hours of labor. I will assist with early postpartum needs so that you may transition into the bonding process as soon as possible with your new family. My goal is to lend a helping hand in your birth experience and ensure that it will always have a special place in your heart.

Childbirth is a journey that has the power to transform women into powerful mothers and prepares families for making decisions later in life as parents. I truly believe that women's bodies were exquisitely designed for having babies and to breastfeed. I believe that nourishing yourself during preconception and pregnancy by good nutrition, exercise, counseling and spirituality prevent many complications during labor. I also promote the use of herbs and holistic treatment for women's health. The natural course of labor is already perfect, and should be interfered with as little as possible. Pain is part of labor, which women can learn to cope with, with proper encouragement and support. However, there are cases when pain medication is the best course of action. I think it’s important to embrace every type of birth scenario. All women who give birth are mothers, whether it is a home birth or scheduled birth by Cesarean. Trust yourself and I know you can have a great birth experience!
Tiffanie Gonzales~
I became a doula because I wanted other women to know what a great experience it could be for them. I love mothering women during that time. I want to empower women to know that they have choices during their labor. I will help with birth plans whether it is home births or hospital. I will offer support in whatever setting. I offer kind words, gentle touch, comfort measures, massage, music, photography (if I am not too busy with a mom), counter pressure, and anything that a mom needs.
